March is always a windy month...Windy ... kind of like me when I have something to chat about.
I think it was you (or Dmitry?) who told me
that the Uinta Mtns. are not able to hold
their snow as long as the Wasatch.
Consider yourself lucky to get out; it was
80-degrees here in central AZ today.

Re: March is always a windy month...I don't know which of us told you that but it is for sure true. I was very surprised at the lack of snow at this spot since last year there was a ton. I'm thinking that this year is the norm and last year was unusual, but they were both big snow years.
I had left my skis in a small depression so they wouldn't blow away (I didn't dare stand them up) and shortly after I left began worrying that they'd get covered up with snow and I wouldn't be able to find them. I did find them, but only the ski tips were sticking out and one pole strap.
It didn't get up to 80 here, but whatever it was today was pretty nice.
