Nice trip report. How bad was the road damage on 49? Any problems getting bikes across? Also can you give me any details on the creek crossing? Headed out there next week.
Will be going to Glacier on the 27th. Would be great to know first hand about the road as well as glacier conditions, e.g. did you need a rope. Guess we'll take ice axe and crampons unless you didn't need them. Appreciate any beta.
No problem getting bikes accross. Some are driving. Ranger told me it would be fixed soon. You should call, may not need bikes. 1 360 436-1155. Only a 100 feet of road sluffing off.
