So that's what the surrounding area looks like! When I got up there, it was covered in fog, couldn't see a single thing! Great pictures though. I would have thought NJ sees snow in Oct more often than that. Interesting.
Yes the snow makes the hike so much better, although I just climbed this on Jan. 10th 2009, two days after an ice storm. The ice was so think on the shrubs, we were bushwacking our way to the top. it took us 6 hours to go 6 miles one way. the sight was worth the work though. With the wind chill it was -12 F. And yes, NJ has its surprises.
That's a great comment. "The ice was so think on the shrubs, we were bushwacking our way to the top. it took us 6 hours to go 6 miles one way. the sight was worth the work though." Hardcore. -Tom

The mix of color and snow...is beautiful. It is something that one doesn't see very often in the Midwest. Nice pictures.

thanksI really liked the snow with the colors. You never know if you'll see that again, at least in NJ!

Re: Nice picturesThanks. Yeah if it snows in November in NJ, that is considered an early snowfall nowadays.
