"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

FabulousI came to the area to climb Mary's Nipple, and did Heliotrope later in the day as my something-else-in-the-area. Heliotrope was the highlight of the weekend. Absolutely beautiful, with a couple miles of easy, open plateau walking through wildflowers, stellar views pretty much the whole way. Easily walkable ridges make a number of longer loops possible. Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this mountain.

Ran Out of DaylightLonger hike than expected but no super difficult routefinding challenges. Started late and was able to see the red sun set and the red moon rise as I listened to elk bugling. Will have to return for a camping trip.
