I get Up ... I get Down ..

I get Up ... I get Down ..

Stream flow varies significantly through Arizona's Marble Canyon, about five miles downstream from Lees Ferry and the Paria River's confluence. During the latter part of July, the flow through the canyon was recorded at 23,500 cubic feet per second. The amount of water passing through the canyon depends on regulated releases from Glen Canyon Dam, and "unregulated" inflow from sudden monsoon storms passing over the Paria River watershed to the north. The Marble Canyon area receives 6" - 8" of (average) rainfall per year. "Passing paths that climb halfway into the void .. As we cross from side to side, we hear the total mass retain .. Down at the edge, round by the corner. Close to the end, down by a river. Seasons will pass you by. I get up, I get DOWN ..." July 30, 2011
