Iffigsee, Iffighorn and Wildhorn Hut
A beautiful "randonnée" that offers great views, particularly to all the impressive cliffs surrounding the Iffigsee lake and the Wildhornhütte. The ever so rich, typically bernese Oberland green pastures above 2000 meters are a great contrast to all the wild rock and scree. I started at 10:30 at Iffigenalp, went first up Iffighorn, spent an hour on the summit, then headed for the Wildhorn hut, where I spent another hour, then back down to Iffigenalp where I arrived at 17:30. I had a rather swift pace that day!
