also some good informal campsites up (south) on Harts Draw road. "Hamburger Rock" campground (BLM, fee) is too far west, pretty much shadeless, and dominated by the motorized crowd. I camped along Indian Creek (across from Newspaper Rock) several times before it was blocked off by boulders. Flash flooding - maybe, but also vandalism. The trees were being cut for firewood by slobs. Also potential for vandalism of the rock art panels. Of course, cows are still allowed here.
