Into The Throat of The Dragon?

Into The Throat of The Dragon?

Nope, this isn't looking into the throat of the dragon. It's the view looking northeast from the south rim of Red Tank Canyon, Arizona, (with the southwestern edge of the Mogollon Rim in the background.) I know that mountaineering is a serious pastime for most, and I would like to salute all those who actually LOOKED into the throat of the dragon, and risked their lives by doing challenging routes on remote mountain peaks with high exposure. The human spirit remains an incredible thing to behold!!! November 19, 2008

Re: Beautilful Colors!

No - thanks to YOU, David. And thanks to all
those who step outside their "comfort zones,"
and risk their lives in the quest for summits
and freedom in the great outdoors!

Looking into the throat

of the dragon always feels better when you are back home safley watching TV, and reflecting on what you've just been through. Well, at least for me. I never enjoy being in danger, but I go through with it because I'm there.
Thanks for looking at things your own special way. It makes life more interesting.

Re: Looking into the throat

Hey, Marc!

Life SHOULD be interesting.

I was always told: There are two kinds of
people in the world, those who take risks and
those who don't.

And then, you have this fascinating quote from the movie No Country For Old Men.

"You never know what worse luck your bad luck
has saved you from." (Uncle Ellis)
