Jack is back ...!There seems to be a lot of geological landforms in the western U.S. named after 'Jack.'
In Arizona, which is celebrating its 100th
birthday by the way, we have two Jack Canyons ... one is located south of Winslow, and the other is south of Sedona.
Lots of folks don't give a jack about Jack...
but your snowy image of Jack's Mountain is
one of the most shapely and beautiful sights
I have ever seen ..
And, look at all those places for deer to hide ... must be the perfect habitat for
mammals to flourish.

Re: Jack is back ...!Thanks Larry! It does seem to be a common name. The one that came to my mind first was Bridger Jack Mesa in Utah. Jacks Canyon in Sedona is one that I am familiar with. I've seen it in some of your photos.
This mountain was named for a young boy that lost his life to cancer. Most people know it locally as Jack's Mountain. I've read that named peaks are not supposed to have apostrophes but this is unofficially named so it's okay.
