There is an old hungarian empirepainted on the emblem on the church's front wall. I wonder if the area was some time in the past under Hungarian rule.. Cheers Tomas ;)

Re: There is an old hungarian empireTomas, this church was made at the end of World War I by the Austro-Hungarian army. As you know till that time the empire had the whole territory down to Istria and Kvarner islands.

Re: There is an old hungarian empireI didn't check, that this was in Slovenia. OK, I know all the area of today Slovenia was then under the Austro-Hungarian empire. Hovewer, it's quite strange for me to see signs of the power after all the years from the break-down of the Austro-Hungaria. It was just emotion, not reason asking.. Cheers Tomas
