Nice slope
Great view of San Jacinto Peak, nice solid snow, and fun to climb with crampons.
Have climbed Jean Peak cross-country style in the Winter.

Opps..
It was a geographically challenged day. I was headed for Jacinto, but went a little too far west..

Traverse from San Jacinto
An amazingly beautiful day. The sky was blue and the temperature was mild. The trees at the top were coated with rime ice from the past week's storms, a testament to the harsh conditions the pines must cope with to survive.
Decent views, a bit hazy. Part of a 6 peak hike with a Sierra Club group.

Easy hike
Hiked it from the turnoff to San Jacinto. Everyone was looking at us wondering "where are you guys going". There was at least a hundred people on Mt. San Jacinto and there was no one on Jean.

San Jacinto to Marion Traverse
A relatively easy traverse made more difficult by seriously sun-cupped snow conditions - some solid, some soft, some postholing. Harder snow or no snow would have made this a snap. For those who haven't made this jaunt, stay just to the west side of the ridge.

Part of 7 peak loop
Hiked Cornell, Miller, San Jacinto, Folly, Drury, Jean and Marion. All are great summits, lots of 3 class and summit blocks. Here are my GPS tracks and photos.
