Joyous views  Sucess!

Climbing was unremarkable with some loose rock near the top. Views were stupendous though which make the climb worthwhile and recommended.

Did the second ascent  Sucess!

Climbed the route early in 1997, possibly the second ascent with I. Hunt. Also climbed again in 1998, 1999 and 2001. Fun, easy route, good for early season, but can be wet if too early.

Adventure  Sucess!

For us, the crux was getting up the gumption to hike out the approach trail after the Park Bear Patrol warned us about the sighting of mama griz and 2 cubs that morning. Worthwhile climb for the incredible view... one of the most beautiful mountain basins I've ever been to. The climbing is a little loose and monotonous. Descent was pretty, but tedious... and we were still on edge about the bears!

Not entirely joyful.  Sucess!

The climb is joyful for about the first 5 pitches, mostly due to the gorgeous views of the Kananaskis Lakes. After that, the monotony of slab climbing takes its toll.

Re: Not entirely joyful.

Parisa, just now read this summit log. You are just mad there was no "Harbucks" at the top of pitch 5! Doubt if you see this, but the kids are returning to San Fran to put down roots in May! Cheers
