There was alot of mud and trail erosion around the cabin due to the recent avalanche. The area in front of the cabin had been roped off for erosion control. The trip up to the summit was cut short due to worsening weather. The rain increased and turned to sleet as the temperature approached freezing. Heavy fog covered the mountain and Kulshan Creek was swift and turning icy which made it difficult to cross. Just as we approached Coleman Glacier the weather continued to worsen and forced our retreat.
