"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

SE ridgeis mostly class 2 from Long Lake, with some decent class 3 near the top if you want it. (It's possible to keep it all class 2 if you stay off the very crest of the ridge.)

NE RidgeGreat class-3 scramble up the NE ridge, followed by a slog down the south face and then ESE to Long Lake. Not too shabby at all for a relatively short outing.

Very fun climbFun climb up the northeast chute and then the ridge to the summit. Spent about an hour on top enjoying the views and breeze before heading up to Mono Pass.

Northeast chuteFrom Ruby Lake in between the large sub-peak and the main peak. I found it to be easy Class 3. Four other weary climbers joined me after we had summitted Mount Starr.

North ChuteWhoever had the nerve to call the north side Class 2 is high! It was wholly Class 3 with some tense 4 in the chute that splits white granite from black shit. I wanted an easy peak after 4 days of alpine running and cycling - uh, this wasn't exactly it. Didn't see any signs of passage in this chute. Traversed ridge to summit and exited east slope staying on rock instead of scree. Fun downclimb. And bonus - I got properly hailed on!
