"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Trail RunningSpent 3 days in the area trailrunning. Hit all the major stops with De los Tres being the highlight. Clear views of Fitzroy and the surrounding peaks. I could have spent all day up there.

Freezing in summertimeFrom El Chalten we dayhiked to the Fitzroy and Cerro Torre lookouts. Fitzroy was impressive, but Cerro Torre was obscured by clouds. Very cold and windy, but definitely a beautiful place.

Mind blowingDid a lot of day hikes out of El Chalten around the area, really staggering place. Right out of town you're in beautiful scenery with all kinds of natural features like lakes and glaciers and spires, there's no driving or long approaches. It's a total playground. Also went to Perito Merino glacier which was nice but they're much better in a less formal setting.

speed hikesI had only 2.5 days in this spectacular place, no camping gear. I hosteled in Chalten for 3 nights. One day I hiked to the Fitz Roy lookout and Torre lookouts (~45km). The next day I tried to hike into the Paso del Viento (recommend 3 days), but lost the trail at the river crossing and again on the glacier and had to turn back. I will return!
