Dayhike
As a Bay Area peakbagger I claim to hate Mission Peak. In reality I should be thankful everyone flocks to this peak and leaves most of the surrounding areas alone. That said, it's a pretty fun hike and impressive summit if you can get out early on a weekday. If you choose to go on a weekend, good luck. I saw about 200+ people, about 25+ in blue jeans, at least 10 groups blaring music, one older gentleman in a suit and leather shoes, and one prom proposal. Not your average hike.

Storm's a-brewin'
Got up to the summit as a storm was moving in. Very windy but it was cool to see the clouds coming in so close. Also loved seeing the baby cows! Saw a tarantula on our way down. Very cool.

Super Bowl 50
Took my son up a couple days after Super Bowl 50 as we had to wait for a cheap flight out of town. I didn't actually go tot he game, but enjoyed the festivities. Also went up Mission Peak in August 2014.
After living in the South Bay for over 2.5 years, I finally got around to climbing Mission Peak. It's an easy path, but still a steep climb. I had a cloudless, windless day. Nice views from the top.
Lived in the Bay Area for many years but somehow never did this hike. It was a nice morning worrkout with good views, though I wish I had started much earlier to avoid the crowds.

Fun Hike
Easy hike with pathways all the way. Cool views of the Valley but very busy. Sunset was kickass.
I've done this hike twice, both times way too crowded. There's a crowd in the parking lot, a crowd on the trail, a crowd at the summit. Take the trails to the right (east), far fewer people, slightly more isolated. Surprisingly steep. The second time was done in a monster wind storm, I have a few pics doing that leaning forward move, from Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal video lol!
This peak is crazy busy. Got lucky and got a front row parking spot. Good workout.

Great Training Walk
Seems to be a common place for folks to keep in shape or train for other ventures. Each time I visit, there seem to be more and more people on the mountain so its clearly not going unappreciated for its continuous elevation gain and outstanding view of the South Bay.

Sunset hike
Climbed Mission Peak on a weekday after work to see the sunset from the top. It was great! Much less hot than going up during the heat of the day, and there are less crowds. Here is a more detailed report: http://blog.compasstales.com/2012/06/28/sunset-at-mission-peak/
