Nice Little Hike!!!
I really enjoyed this hike. In fact, I continued hiking for miles beyond Monster Rock because I enjoyed the area so much. Unfortunately, I had other hiking goals that day so I had to turn around. A lot of deer were in the forest, as well as many birds. I saw a marmot near the trailhead, too. The scenic overlook is worth going to, by itself, but Monster Rock is still a nice objective along the trail.
