On Swiss National Day escaping the heat
Route: Alpe di Neggia (1395m) - Magadino Indemini trail - Monte Gambarogno (1734m) - Cima Orientale (1687m) - East flank (direct) - Alpe di Neggia
It was really hot on the Swiss National Day (36+ degreec C) so we decided to escape the heat a bit by hiking up Monte Gambarogno. Perfect views over Lago Maggiore. Many local people in the refuge near the summit celebrating the Swiss National day (and drinking way too much :-) , next time I will stay for sure!

From Monti di Piazzogna
Climbed from Monti di Piazzogna in the north. Weather deteriorated during the day but since Gambarogno was the first summit we still were lucky. Nice traverse between cross and real summit.
