Same trip 2017  Sucess!

Did the same tour to Morro de la Hierba de Huerto as in 2011. We met nobody for most of the time but returning from the summit, crashed through a lunching Swiss tour group of 20. Later an occasional mountain biker, which is very unusuall on this mountain.

Wonderful round trip  Sucess!

Started at Cruz Grande and hiked the upper Pilancones Ridge towards the Morro. Before we reached it we turned off left hiking along its eastern base. The map had promised a trail back up to the summit but the terrain looked unforgiving. We hiked further and further south until we reached the saddle to Montana Alta. Here I thought I saw the remainders of a trail, which seemed to lead in the right direction. After some discussions we went on the trail and it led us through a lonesome vally right up to the plateau on top of the Morro. From there it was only 500m to the summit, which somehow was an anticlimax with its radio antenna.
