Lake of Angels Route
Definitely not an easy route (a full day of hiking from Lake of the Angels, with about 5000 feet of elevation change), but a great view from the summit! Our route went over the ridge by Lake of the Angels, then down and across a large boulder field. We then took a grassy slope up to the ridge to near Point 5823. We then did roughly 1/4 of a mile of scrambling along the rocky ridge, till we decided to down climb (via very steep scree and severe bushwacking) to the meadow to the Southeast of the base of Hopper. From here we headed upwards at a diagonal to the slope, to a final scramble on the East ridge. The entire route took roughly 5 hours. On the return trip we opted for a slightly different route, which took us along a small oval shaped lake before leading us back to the ridge.
