Dayhike
Day hiked all three peaks starting from Stinson Beach. Went up the Matt Davis Trail bagged West, Middle and East Peaks in succession, headed down Fern Creek Trail to Pantoll and eventually came down Steep Ravine. After about 15 miles we laid down under a bridge and soaked our feet in the nice cold stream. Was an incredible trek and we couldn't have picked a better day.

Great views
Took the shortest route up. This was a while back, but I recall the views of swirling cloud over the Golden Gate to be fascinating. Would be nice to return on a crystal-clear day, but I doubt it would be completely empty then as it was on that morning. Great place to see before visiting Muir Woods.

20 miles
Some friends were training for R2R2R hike, so they put together a 20 mile route for Mt. Tam. Started in Stinson Beach, hiked over to Muir Woods, then up Mt. Tam and back to Stinson. I was so hungry!!

Road Bike
Biked from Bootjack parking area for a round trip of about 10 miles, and then the short hike to the top.
Another mountain I have been to several times, with only once being the non drive up kind. Gorgeous views of San Francisco at the top.

From the Muir Woods Parking Lot
Date approximate. With redwoods, views, and a good workout, up and back to Mount Tam from Muir Woods is one of my favorite all-around hikes in the Bay Area.

Good warmup/exercise for bigger trips
I've climbed this from Stinson Beach via Steep Ravine many times. I usually try to make it all the way up and then all the way down from Stinson, though sometimes I get lazy and catch a ride from Pantoll on the way back down.
