"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Mt. Blacksmith, North Arete, 5.10-With Peter V. Stacy went with us for the bivy. Our goal was Arm and Hammer, 5.11, but we backed off the first pitch, not fully comfortable we were on the right path. Little to any beta regarding Arm and Hammer as of 2020. We essentially only roped up for two pitches on the arete, the 5.9 chimney pitch and the following 5.10- crack pitch. Both were fun, but a long hike to climb just two pitches. Found a great bivy spot. Pretty area. No trail on approach, but decent animal trails can be found on descent.
