Standard route
A short cloudy-day peak while waiting for clear weather on the Icefield. Trip report.

Scramble Route
Topped out once on a beautiful summer day, the horizon marred only by forest fire smoke. Sensory overload on top, as they say.
Had a winter epic on the long ridge one day, surprised I made it down. There is such a thing as divine providence, I have no other explanation. Formerly posted this log as Climbwild.

Fun Scarmble
Climbed with Eric P. Made the ridge but had to turn back due to time contraints (Athabasca awaited!). What a blast coming back down the looooong scree slope.
Route Climbed: Scramble Date Climbed: August, 2003
Easy accessed scramble in the summer which will give a great scouting report on Athabasca, just about the most popular Alpine Climb in the Canadian Rockies due to accessibility. In fact I did Nigel a week or two before Althabasca for this reason.
I added a trip report, much drier than climbwilds trip giving you two perspectives. There is a dying glacier on the backside, which kind of catches you by surprise, as it is so dry on the Southwest side. Also added my website link for more photos of the dry scramble. Cheers!
