My First Summit
Mount Niles was my first summit ever. Growing up in Calgary I hiked and fished a lot with my parents, but I was in my 20's before I stood on top of a mountain. My now old time friend and I, Jock Rutherford, scaled the mighty Mt. Niles from our camp in the meadows below the south side of Mt. Niles.
Looking back, this trip probably changed my life, now I am nearing 300 summits in the Canadian Rockies and a handful in South America and Europe, thank you Jock!
