Smoky
I was following the traditional route to the lakes but after 5.6 miles decided to try the north ridge by climbing up the steep west side. Found a good gully to go up and other than it being horribly steep it was straightforward. Went down sort of the same way. Tip top views though

Nice peak
Took the Left Hand Fork of the East Fork of Bear Fork, attained the ridge at its south end, and followed the ridge to the top. Great views of "The Cathedral".
I climbed this peak from the Norice Lake side in a weekend in July 1990 while working for Camp Evergreen at the East Fork Bear River Scout Camp. I was warned that the peaks around Allsop Lake were "too rugged to climb", but I found routes up and climbed most of them anyway (excluding Yard Peak), though this one was climbed from the west side.
