Mount Forbes  Sucess!

We went the long way, a lack of good trail through the marsh and treed banks made this feel tougher than any IV or V I have climbed in terms of calorie burn. Tons of berries, tons of grizzly scat and tracks including cubs this time of year. The north face was in great shape for us, placed no pro, essentially soloed the NW face. Descended the west ridge. Storm threatened us the whole time. Walked all the way back out making it a two day trip for us. Most do take three. River crossing no big deal, done much worse, actually one of the more pleasurable parts of the approach. With Shaun P.
