Post-rain fog forms over Oak Mountain, far in the background. Parallel ridges that characterize this far southern end of the Appalachians are clearly visible in this shot. You can't see is in this shot, but there is a lot of development in this area. June 2006.

Great shot!

It is really disappointing that there has been so much development in the area. When I was growing up, Oak Mountain was in the boonies, and now it seems to be the center of Pelham.
