Product Description

Mammut designed the Bionic Carabiner with a unique shape to help the rope pull tight directly below the sling and load the spine in the strongest orientation. You'll take comfort knowing your 'biner stays locked correctly when you pitch off 20 feet above gear. Mammut also gave the Bionic Carabiner a Keylock gate for extremely easy snag-free clipping and un-clipping. Then they used I-beam construction on the body to reduce the weight to 34 grams.

Mammut-Bionic-Carabiner
I have taken a few falls, so when this idea was presented to me, I concur with the concept behind it.

Mammut does it again.
Innovation after innovation. We used these recently in our training and I have nothing but praises for them. At $7 pro-deal or $10 retail you can't go wrong with getting a few of these for you rack.
Petzl and BD move aside.
