In addition, although the stats say you can only fit a 15" laptop I have squeezed in my 17" laptop.
Evaluation
Pros+ Roomy
+ Pockets, pockets, pockets (love the waistbelt pockets for memory cards and chapstick)
+ Adjusts well to fit my 5'8" average frame
+ Reconfigures for larger laptop etc. during travel to destination
+ Rain cover is attached (no losing or forgetting)
+ Tripod attaches very securely (ice ax etc. likewise)
+ Independent camera block is handy for separate pic excursions and velcro dividers easily reconfigure
+ Well padded overall, including the straps
+ Everything inside the pack can come out giving you a huge daypack if you don't need it for photography
Cons
---This pack is a monster in size and weight!
---Putting the camera block back into the pack securely takes some effort.

My review after using a full week!I love that you can simply yank out the camera block and carry it (with its' own strap) and go off and take photos if you are on a road-trip and it doesn't even look like a camera bag! And if you need to use this as a backpack without the camera block, go ahead. It will be a bit awkward since the main large access is from the inside (your back) but I can think of some times where that isn't a bad thing!
Biggest negatives are the cost and the sheer weight probably but if you have been looking for a large, feature-filled, camera backpack, especially for day hiking, skiing, and other sports and need quality look at DaKine (taken from a Hawaiian word I think). I'm sure I don't fit their average buyer profile but I really like my DaKine Sequence! (And I only paid about $120 using reward program points.)
And I have had this pack since April but used this pack for a week straight at camp this month on hikes.

Update 2/7/12:
I have taken this pack now on two plane trips and several hikes. It has done very well even stuffed to the brim with two cameras, 4 lenses, 2 remotes, a 17" laptop, souvenirs, and tons of assorted photo gear. It also fit easily under the seat in front of me flying. Surprisingly comfy even after I was diagnosed with a vertebrae and neck problem I plan to use it this spring when I finally get out and hike again!
