Route climbed : from Teide  Sucess!

Sabrina and I climbed normal route of Teide.
We then went down to Pico Viejo and up to Teide before going down on foot of course!
Long nice day...
Summit register (and therefore summit) is located on the Teide side (east) of the crater rim.

2 days hike  Sucess!

We did a two days hike from El Portillo up to Refugio Altavista. Next day we summitted Pico del Teide and went to the Pico Viejo. The way down from Teide was neverending! And than from Viejo as well. Finally we stood at Boca de Tauce and had to go back to the Hotel. Really hard day for us, especially on the sunny weather :) But was worth it. I would love to come back again :)

From Bocca de Tauce  Sucess!

This was a VERY long hike/climb. I didn't think it would ever end! The views from the summit caldera rim were absolutely outstanding though!! Clear blue skies and hot. Trail was very dusty.

Route Climbed: From Bocca de Tauce upwards Date Climbed: May 2001  Sucess!

One of the hardest climbs I ever made! Though there are no major problems you have to go through 100m of altidude, 500m of which have to be climbed through very fine lava gravel. Two steps up, one step down, so in fact you have to climb approx. 1250m! The view of the huge crater (1 square km) is breathtaking as well as the view up to Teide and down to the Cañadas del Teide. Our descent was fun - one step in the gravel made three steps an normal ground though none of us has been ever as dirty as after that day.
