Sutherland Trail  Sucess!

Seventy minutes to the top with plenty of snow and ice above 1500 feet on a bluebird day. The Pike's Peek overlook is worth the detour.

Plymouth Mountain Trail  Sucess!

Surprisingly a really cool hike and doesn't take too much time to get to the top where there are great views just off to the side of the summit.

Bushwack  Sucess!

Truth be told dog and I bushwhacked in and were going to take the trail back down to pike hill rd. Could not follow trail, too overgrown. Bushwhacked back out. View of Newfound Lake from the overlook as good as any though.

Fauver Link/Sutherland Trails  Sucess!

Apparently the Plymouth Mtn. Trail is now closed. At least, it has been dropped from the new (3d) Ed. of the AMC So. NH Trails Guide, which describes it as "abandoned" and says not to use it. Instead, they describe the improved "Sutherland" route from Old Hebron Rd. to the north. The Town of Plymouth has created a new first section - the Fauver Link Tr. - with its own parking lot. It joins the old Sutherland at .4 mile and you reach the summit in 2.5 miles. Don't miss the detour to "Pike's Peak" at 2.1 miles - an open ledge with even better views than the ledges just north of the summit. You can take a spur trail, marked by small cairns, for 100 yards to the SW from the summit, to ledges with a nice view of Cardigan, 10 miles to the WSW.
