The most dramatic looking peak in this view is Monte Basodino, the white peak right of center. On this side it's just snow, and normally by this time of year there wouldn't be much left, but on the other side there is still a small glacier. 28 June 2013.

Nice

Nice Pano Rob, I have seen Basodino many times from the east (Valle Maggia, heavy glaciated E-Face), but never from this angle.

Thanks Lodewijk. I don't think many people will have seen Basodino from this particular viewpoint, for Punta Clogstafel doesn't get all that many visitors.
On the other hand, from lower down in the valley Basodino should be visible too - just not quite such a panoramic view like this one.
