A few days before the first snowfall of the autumn season
With Dave & Christine. This hike is a potpourri of outdoors fun. The terrace is dicey in spots, not for the faint-of-heart or someone prone to losing his or her balance. We saw no fewer than half a dozen mountain goats above us on the terrace and a herd of 30-35 high on the ridge leading to the 2nd Summit. Fantastic. We descended via the "glacier" and the normal trail. R/T time was under 9 hours.
