"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Route Climbed: South Ridge Via South Willow Creek Date Climbed: August 15, 2004A very pleasant mountain. Red Peak seems like a Gateway summit to the interior of the Gore Range; It is easier to ascend then many of the more rugged mountains further north yet it shares their scenery and atmosphere. It took me three tries to get up Red Peak so I was happy to finaly experience the summit. It is kind of surreal to look down on the tiny sail boats cruising Lake Dillon from the top of a 13 thousand foot summit. Dogs Sopris and Ray were along for the ride.
Thanks to Kane for the information provided on this mountain page.
