"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Various RoutesLots of great sandstone fun, routes were easy to find and were also well marked with engraved coins to mark grade. All in all a great time and will be back the first chance I get.

Spring BreakWeek-long trip to the Red, phenomenal climbing. However, after 6 days of intense, all-day climbing, my pads are bloody pulp!

Unappreciated ArchesA great place to hike, unexpectedly wild in some places (Whittleton Creek and Arch), unexpectedly airy in others (Sky Arch, Chimney Tops).

Where the heart is.I started climbing here in 1987. I live nearby, and call it home. Now considered an old school local. I will always come back one more time than I leave.

My Old KY HomeThis is where I cut my teeth before moving west. I hiked every trail and bushwhacked every cliff I could find. I probably did too many things without a rope, but I survived. If you live within 3-4 hours, get here on your next day off. You won't regret it.

Route Climbed: Bedtime for Bonzo, Eureka, Roadside Attraction, 5-finger Discount, others Date Climbed: May, 2003Does the Red really count as a summit? Nice place and all, but not really a mountain. Climbed there three different times on various moderate trad and sport routes. Save an Ale 8 for me...
