Mountains , City and Atlantic Ocean
The
second biggest city in Brazil is
Rio de Janeiro ( 10 million people ). Mountains meet the Ocean and indians lived there for a long years ago, nominating some districts and mountains around the city. You can stay on the beach at morning and at evening, climb or hiking under a green forest. The mountains make the good climate, turning the winter nights, very cold and humid.
The biggest urban forest of the world, Tijuca Forest is all involved by buildings and houses. The highest point of Tijuca is Pico da Tijuca (1024m).
For me, the best of Rio and periphery.
