Normal in winter  Sucess!

Ascended along the normal route / ski pistes to the highest ski lift station. Final meters to the summit quite interesting with narrow and exposed ridge. Perfect weather, nobody above the ski lifts. One day trip from Poland...

Schareck  Sucess!

I went up Schareck starting out at the Niedersachsenhaus and going via Neunerkogel and Herzog Ernst. Apart from one rather serious key passage between Herzog Ernst and Schareck, it's a fairly easy mountain with a gorgeous view to all sides. Already the ascent, which constantly follows the ridge, is spectacular! By 1988, though, the Mölltaler Gletscherbahnen had already been built. Just shortly after I reached the summit, a german hiker arrived as well. I remember so well how he took one look - and fell into a fit of fury! "This can't be possible!", he shouted in complete outrage. "Only four years ago I was here, and it was so beautiful! Now they've wrecked the whole mountain!"

Route Climbed: South approach Date Climbed: July 27th, 1997  Sucess!

Reached the altitude of some 2100m by car, then went around the corner to a nice lake to set up a tent over night. Next morning we simply ascended the summit by the marked path and over ski slopes. Only the last part of the summit ridge was interesting. No big panorama as well that day.

Route Climbed: Pröllweg Date Climbed: July 2003  Sucess!

Start at parking Lenzanger, then by post bus to Amarerhof, later walk-up to Niedersachsenhaus and to summit, as in route description. Low temperature, over 3000 m about 0 degrees Celsius, clouds and light rain (wet rocks). I climbed without equipment, but via ferrata set would be recommended for the second part of the route.
