East west traverse  Sucess!

The weather forecast for tomorrow was pretty good, so I wanted to get to the Sesvenna Hütte, so that I could climb Piz Sesvenna tommorow.

Since I had already visited the hut a few years earlier and wanted to get there by a different way, I decided on an unusual (and pretty long) route: Starting at St. Valentin auf der Haide, I first hiked up to Seeköpfl, then followed the long ridge to the west, traversing the Seebödenspitze and Piz Rassas. On the ridge there wasn't always a clear trail, but it wasn't hard: mostly hiking, with just the very occasional use of hands.

Route Climbed: Haider Alm direct Date Climbed: September 2000  Sucess!

After a long hike decided to climb the remaining 800m from Haider Alm to Seebödenspitze. Had to hurry since the last cable car was due at 16:00 o'clock. After having had a stretch of bad weather (7 days) on this day the sky cleared up and afforded great panorama views of the eastern Alps.
