Afternoon walk with my 5 year old son. Nice time of day to walk, and the trial is well kept for the most part. Rewarding views, especially on top!

Nice view!
Excellent small hike with great views of the west side of the High Sierra. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Long ski tour
Spent a little over 7 hours skiing up and down on cross country skis. Once off the road conditions were considerably more challenging. Alternating deep snow, and breakable crust covered in a sticky layer of wet powder. Blue bird skies all the way until the last half mile, then the clouds came in. I spent my time on the summit eating a sandwich in the fog, waiting in vain for it to disperse.

Snow Hike #6
Very fun hike. There was snow on the ground, and the pass had a lot of snow on it. The visitors area was covered with snow.

Surprisingly Cold #5
This was my fifth ascent. It's been hot all summer, but for some reason on this day the wind was pretty cool. The trees sheltered us somewhat though.

Accidental Trail
Will definitely go back here. Did not make it to the top as we got a late start and had to start well below the intended trail head since the roads had not been plowed. Very, very beautiful views, even though we had to turn around at about 9200 feet.
Dayhike from Sherman Pass. Good views of Monache and Olancha.

Great Views
A very nice stop on the Sherman Pass Road. I've been on many hikes with fine views, but this one might take the cake. On this particular spring day, the air was warm but the snow covered peaks of the southern Sierra were out in all of their glory. Absolutely beautiful views in all directions - especially Olancha and Whitney.

Great hike!
Been wanting to do this hike for a while now... it is a very nice trail through some beautiful red fir forest and the view from the top is as grand as any in the Southern Sierra!
