"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Shinob KibeOn our way back home, Kessler and I climbed Shinob Kibe (summit) near Washington Utah. It was a nice hike with great views of the Pine Valley Mountains and surrounding area.

Summit #7 on this TripSo just to make it a bit of a challenge we parked along the main highway which added a few more miles. We ended our day walking on the paved Virgin River Trail. Real nice day with the dogs.

R.I.P. TommyA group of friends and I hiked up to spread some of a friend's ashes from the top of Shinob Kibe. I've long wanted to make this hike, but not necessarily under these circumstances.

Christmas ClimbFound the standard route up after a while, and then found a new trail someone is trying to make down the East side that connects to the trails around the south back to the car. I didn’t realize I’d see several groups of people up there, fun to see! Pretty fun little adventure IMO.

Many timesThis is one of my favorite quick and easy hikes in the St. George area. I have climbed this interesting peak at least 10 times.
