Slight (sic) of Hand, 5.10b
With Michael from Israel. 7 routes in 6 days that I had yet to climb at the Needles. Success on all accounts. Pit and Pendulum was the best one of this trip and, short of the Spell, my favorite moderate route in the Needles. Slight of Hand and Stars and Stripes Forever start at the exact same spot and make sense to pair. I led them each as one long pitch. Slight is by far the better of the two. It's first pitch is 5 stars!, under cling roof to hands to fingers to arete....but the 2nd pitch is dirty and uneventful. Worth doing if you have some adventure in you and can get off just repeating the classics.
