Not so bad  Sucess!

The old Kamikaze falls route really isn't so bad. Sure, it's steep, but it's on par with Mount Baring in my opinion. They're working on a new, "official" trail- it appears to be an ankle turning mine field of rocks varying from the size of a softball to the size of a football.

Fun route, steep in places, and easy to follow but overall not so bad. Views from the summit are everything you've heard and more.

More Than We Expected...  Sucess!

This route, also known as the "Kamikaze Falls" or "This Is Not A Trail" route, had a little of everything today: Wet scrambles, STEEP paths, seemingly disappearing trail sections, and snowy & slippery inclines (including wet snow, soft snow, hard snow, and icy snow). With the conditions like they were, and because we were each carrying full heavy backpacks, we were satisfied with a three-hour summit ascent (including short breaks and multiple photo stops) using this route.

We have heard that this trail will eventually be maintained better, so we can take solace in knowing we did it during its near-most difficult traverse.

OSAT GCC Training Climb  Sucess!

Did it again with the class of '04, but I don't have the date. In 2002 4 of us came back down the road, but in '04 we retraced the trail down. Saw two goats just south of the summit.
