A Great Hike!!!
The trail is great until Pieper Pass. From that location is a different scenario. The route from Pieper Pass to the summit is not for beginners, and I wouldn't recommend attempting it in wet conditions (due to steep slopes of loose dirt and rock). It was a great feeling of accomplishment when I reached the summit. Wonderful views!!!
I was only the ninth person to reach the summit that year (2008), according to the summit register. I was amused to find an actual spark plug in the summit register.
