The Wicked, V, 5.11a
With Danny U. He thinks we might have the 2nd ascent even though Sam Boyce and company put this route in during 2017. Danny is probably right. Red Rock never seems to be a destination for adventurous climbers for whatever reasons. Approximately my 10th climb to the summit of Wilson. Definitely more interesting than Inti Watana to Resolution, but not as sustained as Resolution Arete from bottom to top. You start higher than Resolution and the two crux pitches on the Wicked are not as challenging as the two crux pitches on Resolution. A lot of wide on this route, with many squeezes, keeps it physically sustained but pleasant overall. One runout section on the 5th pitch where it is wide for an extended period. It ties into Resolution at the 5.9+ hand traverse pitch which is the most aesthetic pitch on that route which is nice vs the Inti Watana tie in which skips this awesome pitch. Typical long Wilson adventure.
