Great Views
I'd recommend staying on the Cottonwood pass trail from Trail pass until after the first switchback or two before heading up. I left a little too soon. Not that it really matters. The route is easy even for a novice like me and no scrambling was required all the way to the top. Just needed to pick my way through trees and boulders, largely by creating my own switchbacks up to the top.

Via Trail Pass from Horseshoe Meadow. First time in this area and I loved it.
