"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Amateur Radio Activation of Twin RocksI climbed basically from the eastern side of the mountain, carrying with me a portable amateur radio station, making contacts with 41 hams across the US and Canada for Summits on the Air (SOTA.org.uk).

Reached the summitVery challenging. Perhaps my toughest climb to that point. After a really painful bushwhack to the Granite-Twin Rocks saddle, I hiked the south slope to the top.

Route Climbed: Trail from Sunset Parking Lot; Scrambling up the east side of Crabeyes. Date Climbed: May 26, 2005; June18, 2005I climbed Crabeyes with my son Ben, May26 & friend David Parker, June 18. We accessed the top by climbing up through a small needle-hole in the rocks on the NW side of the mtn. I am still quite impressed with the balancing act of these two huge boulders. The June 18 hike was quite hot/humid but the flowers were wild & wonderful. LWest/Yukon OK

Route Climbed: From Rt49 to the North. Date Climbed: April 23, 2005Didn't make it to Twin Rocks Mtn. Was a little confused as to which was actually the right peak. My son Zach and I did climb to the top of Crab Eyes. Great view, wonderful hike. The balanced rocks are awesome!!

Route Climbed: up south face, down east face. Date Climbed: November 18, 2004Lot of fun! I tried to go down the north side, but never could find a way. BTW, why do they call it Twin Rocks Mountain?
