Lacul Bâlea or Bâlea Lac (RO) with an area of almost 5 ha is the biggest lake in the Făgăraş Mountains. It is more than 11 m deep - a part of a crowded tourist resort, located in the middle segment of the main ridge by the Transfăgărăşan Road.
