Why is the Hochgangscharte treated as if it's just an afterthought?

These signs were along the trail junction at Schutzhaus Hochgang. I've come hiking from the Gigglberg today, along the Meraner Höhenweg, and will stay here for the night. But tomorrow I want to go over the Hochgangscharte - so what does it mean that this sign looks like it is added later on? 31 July 2012.
