Everyday I live I will be motivated by the Cascades. Next year I'll be back (permanently maybe) and many other Cascades will be done. In the meantime, Franconia Ridge and the Presidentials are my targets with Mount Marcy not out of the question.
Vesper is indeed a fun summit. As you know, you have had only a small sample of this area. I moved to Washington from the midwest in the 70's and have never looked back. After more than 30 years of hiking here, I can assure you that there's plenty to keep you happily busy for the rest of your days.
