Re: Great stuff!!

Thank you Vale of Neath is a nice name:- But I still think the best village name on that web-page has to be Pontneddfechan.
Anyone out there know how to pronounce it...? LOL

Re: Great stuff!!

He he, I know how to pronounce it and you're going to need a lot of saliva! Try this, it won't be perfect but it'll get you close -

Pontnethvekan.

The 'dd' is pronounced like 'th' in the English word 'seethe'; and the 'ch' is pronounced as in loch or Docherty.

Re: Great stuff!!

You would not believe it but thats virtually the way I thought it would be pronounced...!
No joke there. Being raised on the edge of Wales in Shrewsbury through my teenage time I learned a bit about Welsh dialect.
Cheers for the help there Dan.

Welsh Paradise?

Makes me think instantly of my beloved Slovak Paradise:

Re: So much info

Thank you very much for the kind comments.
I put this page together in hope that more people will visit the many gorges and waterfalls of South Wales.
If you get the chance, pay a visit.
Cheers - David.
